ST. JAMES—St. Robert Community Center will host a residential electronics and appliance collection Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 114 J.H. Williamson Dr., St. Robert.

A fee of $10 will be charged on televisions and $5 on computer monitors.

Free items include all appliances, microwaves, hot water heaters, cell phones, flat-screen TVs and monitors and anything with a cord.

Ozark Rivers Solid Waste Management District, Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Meramec Regional Planning Commission is providing funds to sponsor the event and St. Robert is providing the site and personnel.

Formed in 1969, MRPC is a voluntary council of governments serving Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Osage, Phelps, Pulaski and Washington counties and their respective cities. A professional staff of 24, directed by the MRPC board, offers technical assistance and services, such as grant preparation and administration, housing assistance, transportation planning, environmental planning, ordinance codification, business loans and other services to member communities.
